Mrs. Cristiana Girolimetto

A native Italian speaker, born in Alessandria in 1988, she has been working since 2013 as a professional Chinese–Italian interpreter and translator, collaborating with Arnone & Sicomo Law Firm to provide legal assistance to Chinese clients in Italy, with a particular focus on legal services in Chinese, legal interpreting, and certified legal translations Chinese–Italian.

Within the Firm, she supports lawyers in managing relationships with Chinese clients, facilitating communication in matters of Italian civil law, commercial law, real estate law, and legal assistance for Chinese citizens in Italy. Thanks to her experience, she represents a key point of reference for clients searching for a Chinese-speaking lawyer in Italy or a law firm in Italy with Chinese staff.

Her international path began in 2005, when she moved to Shanghai after being awarded an Intercultura scholarship, participating in the annual exchange program promoted by American Field Service (AFS). During this period, she lived with a Chinese family and attended local schools, developing a deep understanding of Chinese language and culture, which is essential today in providing high-level linguistic and cultural support for Chinese clients in Italy.

In 2010, she graduated with top honors in Oriental Languages and Civilizations from Sapienza University of Rome, following a research period at the Beijing Foreign Studies University, with a thesis in historical-comparative linguistics.

She further refined her language skills at Beijing Foreign Studies University, obtaining the highest level of the HSK (Hanyu Shuiping Kaoshi) certification, internationally recognized as proof of advanced proficiency in Chinese.

In 2011, she was awarded the prestigious Hanban – Confucius Institute scholarship, and in 2013 she obtained a Master’s Degree in Teaching Chinese as a Foreign Language from Beijing Foreign Studies University, achieving an advanced level of proficiency in both written and spoken Chinese, as well as strong skills in analyzing and handling Chinese legal documents and official documentation.

Since returning to Europe in 2013, she has been working as a Chinese legal interpreter and translator, developing extensive experience with Asian clients and specializing in negotiations with Chinese clients, legal assistance for Chinese entrepreneurs in Italy, import-export, and China–Italy investments.

Thanks to her international background and deep understanding of Asian cultural contexts, she supports the law firm in assisting Chinese clients seeking legal assistance in Italy in Chinese, facilitating every stage of the relationship between lawyer and client, from case understanding to document management.
