Gianluigi Sciabica

He is enrolled with the Bar Council of Palermo since February 2016.

He completed the legal traineeship at the Legal Department of the Municipality of Palermo, where he focused his practice on civil and administrative law and also at the Law firm of an important supreme court lawyer specialised in civil, bankruptcy and tax law. 

During the same period he collaborated as a trainee with an important law firm based in Palermo specialised in criminal law matters.

He graduated in Law from the University “La Sapienza” of Rome in 2001 with a thesis in History of Italian Law, entitled "The fight for the codification between Savigny and Thibaut: roots and perspectives".

Over the years he gained significant experience in civil and criminal law matters and he also dealt with high profile cases of bankruptcy law in particular acting as Official Receiver in bankruptcy procedures and a defence lawyer to represent those charged with crimes in court.   

Between December 2011 and June 2016 he has been a  member of the Rotaract Club Palermo Est, vice president and few times secretary and in 2015 he also participated to RYLA (Rotary Youth Leadership Award) organised by the “Palermo International District 2110 Sicily and Malta” of the Rotary International.

He is honorary member of the Rotaract Club Palermo Est, Rotaract in Palermo Mondello, Monreale, Syracuse, D. 2110 - Sicily and Malta.

He is a native italian speaker and speaks fluent English.
