Mr. Antonio Liaci

Born in Gallipoli (Italy) in 1984, he graduated cum laude in Oriental Studies from Sapienza University of Rome in 2011, specializing in Chinese language, culture and international relations with China.

In the same year he attended an advanced Chinese language program at the Beijing Foreign Studies University (Beijing), further strengthening his expertise in Mandarin Chinese and Chinese business culture.

From 2012 to 2015, he lived in Latvia, where he worked as a Chinese language and culture lecturer, teaching Chinese for business and diplomacy at the Riga Graduate School of Law, in collaboration with diplomat Tjaco Van Den Hout. During the same period, he was invited to teach courses on Chinese language and Chinese business culture at the Banku Augstskola School of Business and Finance in Riga.

In 2013, he collaborated with the international law firm Vilgerts (formerly part of Magnusson Law Firm) to promote the Latvian immigration-by-investment program, focusing on corporate investments and real estate investments and developing contacts with Chinese investors and business partners. This activity led to frequent professional travel between China and the Baltic countries.

In 2014, together with Dr. Guido Sechi, he co-founded TCD Consulting, a consultancy firm focused on EU-China business development, international trade consulting and cross-border investments between Europe, the Russian Federation, CIS countries and East Asia.

After successfully passing the HSK Level 6 Chinese Proficiency Exam, he obtained a scholarship at South China Normal University in Guangzhou (China), where in 2015 he completed a Master’s degree in Teaching Chinese as a Foreign Language, with a thesis in comparative linguistics.

He later relocated permanently to China, where he currently works as an international trade consultant and China market facilitator, specializing in commercial trading between China, the European Union, the Russian Federation and CIS countries.

Based in Guangzhou, he focuses on:

  • International trade between China and Europe

  • China market entry consulting

  • EU-China business development

  • Investment consulting between China and Europe

  • Cross-border trade and business facilitation

  • Commercial partnerships between China, the EU and CIS markets

He regularly assists companies and investors seeking to develop business relationships with Chinese partners or expand trade between China and European markets.

He is a native Italian speaker and is fluent in Mandarin Chinese, English and Latvian, with working knowledge of Russian.
